Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi is looking at an alternative bank
settlement regarding foreclosure document abuses. Her counterpart in
Oklahoma, E. Scott Pruitt, has made a new proposal without a requirement
that servicers pay at least $20 billion in fines. “While Attorney
General Bondi will continue to participate in the multi-state settlement
discussions, she looks forward to reviewing any alternative plan
developed by Attorney General Pruitt,” said Jenn Meale, Bondi’s
communications director. [Palm
