Billionaire Jeff Greene unloads South Beach condo at 61 percent premium over valuation

South Florida-based billionaire and onetime U.S. Senate hopeful Jeff Greene has unloaded his four-bedroom South Beach condo for $300,000 more than what he paid for it in 2008, according to a Condo Vultures report.

The 4,000-square-foot 31st-floor unit in Murano Grande at Portofino in Miami Beach’s South of Fifth neighborhood sold for $3.4 million, or $854 per square foot, according to Miami-Dade County public records. The Greenes originally purchased the unit for $3.1 million.

The buyer, Stephen Temes, paid a 61 percent premium above the assessed value of the property, according to county records. [Condo Vultures]
