Federal authorities filed an action Aug. 12 to seize the former home of jailed Pharmed Group executive Carlos de Cespedes, the South Florida Business Journal reported. The 6,131-square-foot home with six bedrooms is located at 3821 Bayside Court on Biscayne Bay. The feds say they have the right to seize the house free and clear of all liens, including its $911,000 mortgage with Merrill Lynch. In 2008, Carlos and Jorge de Cespedes were sentenced to nine years in prison for healthcare fraud and tax evasion. [SFBJ]
