The town of Palm Beach has brought an action to clear title on a home it
purchased last year in a foreclosure sale, according to the Palm Beach
Daily News. The home, which is located at 110 Angler Avenue, was
purchased by the town in October. Bank of America, which has a $1.5
million mortgage on the house, is the defendant in the lawsuit brought
by Town Attorney John Randolph to “clear the cloud” of BofA’s mortgage.
“The mortgage holder was asleep at the wheel,” he said. “We claim that
we have free and clear title, and we want the court to substantiate
that.” [Palm
