Home prices in South Florida fell in August compared to the same period
in 2010, according to a report by Zillow. The Home Value Index, which
looked at home values in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties,
was $139,000, a 3.3 percent drop year-over-year but essentially flat
compared to July. Zillow Chief Economist Stan Humphries said that U.S.
home prices were encouragingly stable, but that concerns lingered about
the potential impact of a still-struggling economy. [Sun
