As construction is set to begin on a 186,500-square-foot retail and parking complex in Sunset Harbour, WSVN has the story on what could be Miami Beach’s new focal point (see video above).
A developer has bought several properties in the area, and plans to revitalize the streets by adding cafes, restaurants and shops to the streets of Sunset Harbour, surrounding the aforementioned complex, which architect Bernardo Fort Brescia designed.
“I think it will be a game changer for the neighborhood. I think it will transform it,” he said. So much so, in fact, that city officials are considering building a bridge across Collins Canal to ease traffic to the area once the expansion is complete.
