Law firms sign 40,519 square feet in lease transactions at Miami Tower

Miami Tower has signed 40,519 square feet in leases and renewals, according to leasing agent Transwestern. The company has now signed 120,000 square feet of leases since being awarded the building’s management and leasing in January 2011. The deals bring occupancy at Miami Tower close to 90 percent, above the average of 77.1 in Miami’s Central Business District. The transactions were highlighted by a renewal and expansion by law firm Boies, Schiller & Flexner, whose deal totaled 23,277 square feet. Another law firm, Boyd Richards Parker & Colonnelli, signed a long-term renewal for 9,628 square feet. The 618,990-square-foot building is located at 100 SE 2nd Street in downtown Miami. — Alexander Britell
