Delray foreclosure scammers to pay restitution

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a settlement with three Delray Beach companies that will require them to pay $59,000 in restitution for their roles in foreclosure schemes, the Palm Beach Post reported. The three companies are Home Owner Protection Economics, DC Financial Group and Deleverage America. “Any homeowner who seeks the help of a foreclosure-related rescue service and is asked for an upfront fee should report that business to our office immediately,” Bondi said in a statement. “This practice is prohibited by state law, and my office will continue to crack down on these illegal actions.” [Palm Beach Post]
