Within 24 hours of listing his two Marquis Miami condominium units, and about a year after purchasing them in the first place, Drake found a fellow celebrity to buy the units for just 4 percent less than the rapper’s $2.5 million asking price.
Forbes reported Miami Heat guard Mario Chalmers signed a contract to buy the units for $2.4 million.
“We immediately contacted all of our team members and Kriszti Panyi knew she had a buyer whose needs would be satisfied with this property,” said Jill Hertzberg of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate‘s “The Jills” team, which listed the units.
Drake turned a $500,000 profit, before taxes and fees, on the apartments, as he paid $1.9 million for the 5,475-square-foot neighboring duplexes. Meanwhile, published reports show Drake purchased a new, $9 million for himself in California. [Forbes]
