Yard House

Beer chain Yard House will add a 12,000-square-foot location in Miami Beach, which is slated to open in 2013, Eater reported. “It’s a very, very hard market to penetrate for a national restaurant because of the lack of opportunity and high cost,” said Kerry Newman of Koniver Stern. The company, which is “bullish” on the region, according to CFO Jeff Uttz, is also going to open a location in Boca Raton’s Mizner Park in June. The South Beach project, just off of Lincoln Road on Lenox Avenue, will cost roughly $3 million. Yard House also has a restaurant in Coral Gables’ Village of Merrick Park. [Eater]
