New North Lauderdale Walmart breaks ground

Walmart has broken ground on a new center in North Lauderdale, the Sun Sentinel reported. The project, which is located 7900 West McNab Road, is set to open in January 2013. “We have been working with Walmart for the past five years and are looking forward to having the supercenter in the city,” said Jack Brady, mayor of North Lauderdale, in a statement. “The store will benefit our residents and we are also ecstatic that it will generate approximately 80 to 100 new jobs.” The new center will have a facade unlike typical Walmart stores.
