Recent fires at WPB condo may be targeting individual resident

A fire at the Forest condominiums in West Palm Beach has raised suspicion among county fire officials, the Palm Beach Post reported. Palm Beach Fire Rescue was called to the scene of a blaze late last night at 5352 Bosque Lane, the site of a two-story, four-unit condo building that’s part of the Forest complex. No one was injured, and it was unclear how many units were damaged in the fire, but at least two rooms in the unit 109 were destroyed.

Neighbors told the Post they believe a resident of the property is being targeted. Several, including Forest Condominium Association President Alan Meltzer, say the fire is one of several attacks on a tenant in the building. Over the weekend a car burst into flames on the property.

While officials wouldn’t confirm those reports, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue called the fire “suspicious” and said the Palm Beach County Sherrif’s office has launched an investigation. [Palm Beach Post]
