City Furniture to open five stores in South Florida

City Furniture is opening its newly renovated Pinecrest showroom as part of a larger $17 million, five-store expansion in South Florida, according to the South Florida Business Journal. The renovated store, which is located at 9255 South Dixie Highway, will add a second floor and could create 25 new jobs. City Furniture will feature green designs in all of its new locations. “We admire and value environmental sustainability so the whole green building movement is very much consistent with what we were doing even before there was a green building movement or an LEED certification,” said City Furniture President Keith Koenig. Parent company Ashley Furniture is also opening several new locations in South Florida, including one currently under construction in Oakland Park. [SFBJ]
