Shake Shack to debut in Coral Gables

Danny Meyer’s latest Shake Shack foray in Florida will open its doors on Sunday, the Miami Herald reported. The New York-based restaurant chain will occupy the former Smoke’t barbecue space across the South Dixie Highway from the University of Miami. The location will be Meyer’s largest Shake Shack facility. “We have been focused on trying to find a second or third location in Miami for a long time,” Meyer said. “If you get the real estate right or wrong, it’s a triumph or a failure you’re going to live with for a long, long time.” [Miami Herald]
