Defendants plea guilty in multi-million-dollar mortgage fraud at Miami’s Jade condo

Three defendants have pleaded guilty for their roles in a multi-million-dollar mortgage fraud scheme involving units at the Jade condominium complex in Miami, according to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida Wifredo Ferrer. The defendants pleaded guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit mail fraud in connection with the scheme. The defendants, Josephine Santana, Jose Rafael Martinez and Basilio Gomez, face up to 20 years in prison.
