The sale represents the largest-ever residential sale in the Design District, according to the brokerage, which said the property sold within three days after being listed at $1.45 million. The buyer was a limited liability company called 45 Design District, which is managed by Alexander Karakhanian. The property had last sold in 1975 for $43,000.
