Fairchild Gardens planning to open 25,000-square-foot science complex

The Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens in Coral Gables will open its 25,000-square-foot science complex Dec. 1, the organization announced. The project will include a Clinton Family Conservatory, a restaurant called the Glasshouse Cafe, the Whitman Tropical Fruit Pavilion and the Windows to the Tropics Conservatory. The official name of the complex is the Butterfly Conservatory and Science Village. — Alexander Britell
