Robert Shiller on Bloomberg Television

Perennial doomsayer Robert Shiller, a Yale University economist and one name behind the industry standard Case-Shiller index, had more gloomy news yesterday in an interview on Bloomberg Television, Business Insider reported. Shiller told audiences that housing prices — which may not have reached the bottom yet, in his mind — may never climb back up to their pre-recession levels. See video after the jump.

I am currently in the financial industry and real estate as well. I also studied economics in college and i want to say that the reason our economy is in such a mess and wont recover any time soon is because of these so called economists like Robert Shiller. I want Robert Shiller to tell all the large institutions who have been investing in real estate and the average individual who have made money in real estate why its wrong to be buying right now. Tell me what market doesn’t move up and down, that only appreciates and doesn’t depreciate. Its easy for some one to say don’t invest in something but they never give you an idea of what to invest in. So much for these so called professionals
