Freedom Tower to be dwarfed by two new proposed towers?

The Chateau Group, the developers behind Chateau Beach in Sunny Isles and Chateau Ocean in Surfside, has submitted plans to build a 709-foot-tall tower at 700 Biscayne Boulevard, according to Curbed. The developers have also submitted plans to build a 704-foot-tall building one block away at 600 Biscayne Boulevard, the same address as the Freedom Tower.

The new towers will certainly have an impact on Miami’s skyline when and if they are built, but there is no guarantee that will actually happen. There have been other plans to build towers at both locations that have never come to fruition, Curbed noted.

Previous plans had a tower at 600 Biscayne Boulevard called Freedom Square and a project at 700 Biscayne called Paramount Park, Curbed said.

It’s unclear whether the new towers would have the same designs as the previous projects. [Curbed] –Evan Bleier
