Costa Hollywood Condo Resort, a $180 million residential complex in Hollywood Beach that will have its own synagogue and kosher deli, broke ground this week, the Sun Sentinel reported.
Developer Moses Bensusan, chief executive of Hallandale Beach-based Liberty Grande and Logitech Construction Co., said during a groundbreaking event Thursday that the project was inspired by a family vacation he spent in Hollywood Beach five years ago.
He saw potential to build an alternative to Hollywood’s “little motels,” the Sentinel reported.
Costa Hollywood will comprise 307 fully-furnished studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments, ranging in price up to $375,000. In addition to other standard amenities, the complex will also boast its own synagogue and kosher deli, major draws for Ofir Gabriel, a buyer who told the newspaper he splits his time between New York and South Florida.
“I like the area, especially the boardwalk, and when I’m not here, [the units are] going to be rented,” Gabriel said. [Sun Sentinel] –Emily Schmall
