Two South Florida night spots made Rolling Stone’s top 10 list of America’s best dance clubs as part of the magazine’s annual Venues That Rock ranking.

A bastion of movie stars and Miami Heat players, the glitzy 1,200-person capacity LIV in the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach was ranked second by the panel of international DJs and nightclub owners, behind Beta in Denver.

The Electric Pickle in Wynwood came in at number eight. Rolling Stone panelist DJ Harvey praised the “epic mirrorball/lighting installation” on the upper level, while fellow compatriot DJ Subb-an liked the Pickle’s high energy. “When this place goes off, it really kicks,” Subb-an said.
