Billionaire philanthropist asks $48M for Palm Beach homes

A Palm Beach two-house oceanfront compound where “Margaritaville” singer Jimmy Buffett formerly resided hit the market for $47.8 million, Curbed reported.

Buffet and his wife Jane lived for 10 years at 540 South Ocean Boulevard, a Federal-style house designed by first-generation Palm Beach architect Marion Sims Wyeth. They sold it to their neighbor, billionaire philanthropist Jon Stryker, in 2010 for $18.5 million. He also acquired the lot at 530 South Boulevard for an undisclosed amount. Stryker is now selling the home and the lot, as well as his next-door home at 61 Middle Road.
