The company launched a special offer last week that includes a roundtrip on a seaplane for those who stay at least two nights in a studio villa at Resorts World Bimini, Miami Herald reported. Rates begin at $389 per person. Tropic Ocean Airways is set to operate the flights, which depart from Miami’s Watson Island and arrive to the Bimini resort within 30 minutes.

Genting transformed Bimini Bay Resort into Resorts World Bimini last year. The company began a gambling boat service called Bimini SuperFast over the summer. The 1,500-passenger boat shuttles between Miami and Bimini.

In one of the highest-profile Miami real estate sales in recent years, Genting paid $236 million for the former Miami Herald headquarters in downtown Miami two years ago. It touted plans to build a large casino and resort on the former Herald site, but the Florida Legislature has not been willing to modify gaming laws since then. [Miami Herald]Eric Kalis
