Broward Public Schools selling excess land

Stuck with more land than it needs, Broward County Public Schools is set to sell three properties for more than $10 million.

The school district has deals in place to unload three parcels totaling about 14 acres in Plantation, Fort Lauderdale and Oakland Park, the Sun-Sentinel reported. It had purchased the land more than 10 years ago for future schools and parking lots. The money generated from the sales is expected to be used for maintenance and repairs of existing school buildings.
