Revised chapel-to-condo plans unveiled

Developer Al Adelson has unveiled revised plans for a condo project at waterfront Chapel-by-the-Lake site in West Palm Beach.

Adelson presented the latest designs for the development during Thursday’s town hall meeting, the Palm Beach Post reported. City commissioners are expected to vote on the proposal next Tuesday.

The new plan has two options: a 22-story condo tower or a narrower 25-story version. Adelson’s group reduced the number of units from 96 to 75 and promised to build a public walkway along the Intracoastal Waterway.

First Baptist Church has a pending deal to sell the 3.2-acre property to Adelson’s group for $23 million. But both sides recently revealed the church’s asking price has dropped. [Palm Beach Post] — Eric Kalis
