Swire Properties is the latest developer to seek approval for a skyscraper that would exceed 1,000 feet in Greater Downtown Miami.
The Brickell City Centre builder has submitted plans with the City of Miami for a 1,049-foot mixed-use tower on its Brickell Avenue land. Commissioners are expected to review the proposal during today’s meeting, the Miami Herald reported. If approved by commissioners and the Federal Aviation Administration, Swire’s tower would be the tallest in the state.
In downtown Miami, Tibor Hollo has FAA approval for a 1,010-foot tower on Biscayne Boulevard. Hollo told the Herald he doubts Swire would secure the same for a building directly on Brickell Avenue.
