Best cities for startups? Miami makes the grade

With more businesses relocating to Miami in search of tax breaks and a growing international economy, WalletHub has listed four South Florida cities on its 2014 list of best cities to start a business.

Miami ranked No. 57 on the list, out of 150 cities in the U.S., according to the South Florida Business Journal. Pembroke Pines secured the No. 63 spot, while Fort Lauderdale came in at No. 86. Hialeah ranked No. 108.

WalletHub’s list ranked the relative start-up opportunities of the 150 largest cities in the U.S. in terms of population, according to its website. The analysis used 14 metrics, including five-year new business survival rate, affordability of office space, educational background and local labor force. [SFBJ] – Christopher Cameron
