Developer plans Hilton hotels near Dolphin Mall

A two-tower hotel project with a pair of Hilton brands is proposed for a Sweetwater site located across from the Dolphin Mall.

Procacci Development Corp. wants to develop a hotel complex that includes a 100-room Homewood Suites and 132-room Hilton Gardens at the southeast corner of Northwest 17th Street and 111th Avenue, the Miami Herald reported. The buildings would be 11 stories tall.

Construction of the hotel buildings is slated to begin in September. Procacci expects to finish the project by fall 2015.
