Wayne Chaplin, the CEO and president of Miami-based Southern Wine and Spirits, scored a $17 million mortgage to build two waterfront homes in Miami Beach.
The City National Bank of Florida awarded the loan to B.A.W. Realty, which is co-managed by Chaplin, the head of the nation’s largest wine and spirits distributor, and Barry Brodsky of Brodson Construction, according to the South Florida Business Journal.
The loan will finance the two homes going up on a 79,671-square-foot site at 4567 Pine Tree Drive — the property was purchased for $11.5 million in December. Each of the homes will be 15,000 square feet, according to filed permits. [SFBJ] – Christopher Cameron
