An office property across from the Brickell City Centre project is being marketed as a potential development play.
The owner of the 90 Southwest 8th Street site is seeking $35 million for the property, according to Thursday’s written announcement from Marcus & Millichap, which is marketing the land. A 45,000 square foot office building, which is dubbed the Brickell Way Building, was constructed on the half-acre parcel in 1971. The property last traded for $750,000 in 1993.
Miami-based 90 SW 8th St. Enterprises owns the parcel. State corporate records identify Jaime Brugos as the company’s president.
Alex Zylberglait, first vice president of investments in Marcus & Millichap’s Miami office, is handling the listing.
“The opportunity to acquire 90 SW 8th Street will allow an investor to take control of an approximate half-acre of land in the epicenter of the city’s booming financial district,” Zylberglait said. “With the large-scale City Centre project to be completed in 2015, thousands of jobs will be brought to the area, creating an urban environment that will further energize the area as a destination where people live, work and play.” — Eric Kalis
