South Florida foreclosures continued to decline last month, according to the latest report from Condo Vultures.

Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties had a slight year-over-year drop in foreclosures, from 1,558 in August 2013 to 1,514 last month. The region had 13,299 foreclosures during the first eight months of 2014, way down from 29,517 during the same period in 2013.

In Miami-Dade, foreclosures dropped from 585 in August 2013 to 475 last month. The county’s year-to-date foreclosures fell from 11,008 to 4,489. Broward County’s year-over-year foreclosures increased from 611 to 664 last month, while its year-to-date foreclosures fell from 12,267 to 5,661.

Palm Beach County also had a slight increase, from 362 foreclosures in August 2013 to 375 last month. The county’s year-to-date foreclosures dropped from 6,242 to 3,149. — Eric Kalis
