Former Batmasian employee hit with defamation suits

A woman suing real estate mogul James Batmasian for sexual harassment is now herself being sued for libel by two entities mentioned in her complaint.

Boca Art and Framing and its owner, Sandra Radica, are suing Karla Sotomayor for defaming Boca Art and Radica, according to the Palm Beach Post.

In a separate case, Sotomayor is being sued again for defamation by Propel Inc., a Boca Raton nonprofit founded by Batmasian and his wife, Marta.

Sotomayor, a former Batmasian leasing agent, filed a 56-page lawsuit against the Batmasians in June, alleging discrimination, harassment and violations of the Florida Civil Rights Act.
