Company linked to Kimco grabs Dania Beach site

A company tied to New York-based Kimco Realty Corp. acquired nearly 25 acres of commercial land in Dania Beach for $14 million.

Dania Live 1748 LLC, which shares a New Hyde Park mailing address with Kimco, purchased the 181 South Bryan Road site in a transaction recorded on Monday, according to Broward County records. No financing was recorded. Two small industrial buildings are located on the three properties acquired by the Kimco company.

Florida Silica Sand Co. of Fort Lauderdale is the seller. The company has operated in South Florida since 1948, according to its website. Previous sale prices for the Dania Beach properties were not available in county records. — Eric Kalis
