Fire destroys luxurious Palm Beach home

A luxury house fronting the Intracoastal Waterway was destroyed in a fire last night.

The home, which is located at 417 Primavera Way, is owned by Wellington equestrian investor Allan Scherer and his wife Margaret, according to Gossip Extra. The house at was valued by taxation authorities to be worth about $6.4 million.

Scherer, 82, was home at the time of the fire and was injured, although not seriously. Firefighters believe the incident was caused by a gas leak. [Gossip Extra] – Christopher Cameron
