PHOTOS: Hotels opening soon in Miami and Miami Beach

A slew of Miami and Miami Beach hotels are on the verge of opening, including Richard LeFrak’s 1 Hotel in Miami Beach. HotelChatter released a list of upcoming openings — the closest being Element Miami Doral on March 5.

Hyatt Centric South Beach, which was announced last week, is set to open in April. The hotel is one of two of the Centric brand, and will include a rooftop restaurant and bar led by local chef William Milian, who’s worked at Delano and Bazaar at SLS South Beach. The Kobi Karp-designed hotel will have 105 rooms and 700 square feet of meeting space. Robert Finvarb Companies is developing the 10-story glass tower.

Next up are 1 Hotel on March 13, Aloft South Beach on April 16 and AC Hotel by Marriott in April.

Miami has the fourth highest number of hotel rooms under construction, according to a recent STR report. The Miami market had 3,425 rooms under construction as of December. [HotelChatter] — Katherine Kallergis
