Chris Leavitt of “Million Dollar Listing Miami” represented the seller of an oceanfront Miami Beach condo, which traded hands for $5.1 million.

The 3,182-square-foot residence at Mei is a four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom double unit. Leavitt told The Real Deal that the $1,602 per-square-foot price tag was one of the highest in the area.

The condo’s unobstructed ocean views and turnkey availability make it unique compared to other luxury listings in the area, Leavitt told TRD. The unit has botticino marble, smoked oak wood floors and a wrap-around terrace.

“It’s the entire front of the building; its the ideal scenario,” Leavitt told TRD. “You’re unobstructed on both ends, and you’re right in the middle of the beach. It’s a really unique apartment.”

Mei, a 22-story luxury tower, was built in 2008 and is located at 5875 Collins Avenue in Mid Beach. The 134-unit building was developed by the Property Markets Group, designed by Rosello Balboa & Lordi and built by TGI Construction.

Leavitt said his friend and Douglas Elliman colleague Pietro Belmonte brought him the buyer for units 1801 and 1802. They were last purchased by Randall and Jill Schrager for a combined $1.95 million in 2009. — Sean Stewart-Muniz
