Law firm Hughes Hubbard & Reed renewed its lease at Miami Center, Crocker Partners announced Friday.

The 10-year lease renewal includes 24,000 square feet on the entire 25th floor of the tower in downtown Miami.

“Miami Center is well positioned with the ongoing revitalization of Miami’s CBD. It’s a strong draw with unobstructed bay and ocean views, immediate transit access and the adjacent Intercontinental Hotel,” Angelo Bianco, a partner in Crocker Partners, said in a press release.

Hughes Hubbard’s Gerard Cruse and Fran Tuffy, along with Rashid Siapoosh of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank, represented Hughes Hubbard & Reed in the lease. Cushman & Wakefield’s Jon Blunk, Laurel Oswald and Cristina Glaria, represented the landlord.

The firm has been a Miami Center tenant since 1995. The 34-story office tower, at 201 South Biscayne Boulevard, has 786,267 square feet and is 90 percent leased. Crocker Partners acquired Miami Center from Sumitomo of America, a subsidiary of Japanese global trading firm Sumitomo for $262.5 million in July 2012. — Katherine Kallergis
