Construction at the Jade Signature in Sunny Isles Beach is going strong. Crews recently poured the concrete slab for the tower’s ground floor, topping off a massive endeavor to create one of South Florida’s biggest underground garages.
Here’s an inside look at construction progress and what the luxury tower promises to look like when completed:
The tower’s developer, Fortune International Group, has said the underground garage was intended to remove the need for a parking podium. This would keep the building’s lobby on the ground, with clear views to the beach.
The firm brought on Boston-based Suffolk Construction to handle the job.
Now, workers are expected to begin the long 57-story climb upward in the next two months. They will move roughly one floor per week, finishing sometime in 2017.
When completed, the tower will house 192 condos that range in price from $3 million to $26 million. At least 80 percent of the units have already sold, as The Real Deal reported in September 2014.
