Badia Spices, a spice importer and manufacturing company, has just sold one of its Doral warehouses for $6.8 million.

The sale comes five months after Badia purchased another warehouse a mile away for $10 million, likely with the intent of moving its operations.

The warehouse that sold last week, at 2601 Northwest 104th Court, was separated from Northwest 25th Street by a canal, and is adjacent to a cemetery.

Logistics Solutions of South Florida is the buyer. The company also took out a $5.15 million mortgage with Professional Bank for the property.

The warehouse purchased in December is five years newer, about 46,000 square feet bigger — totaling 111,764 square feet — and fronts Northwest 25th street, which feeds directly into the nearby Palmetto Expressway.

Badia Spices was founded by Jose Badia, who fled Cuba in 1963 due to growing troubles in the island nation. He planted his family’s flag in Miami and began expanding his spice empire.
