ADD Inc. was tapped for the architecture and interior design of District 36, a mixed-use residential tower in Midtown Miami, adjacent to the Design District.
MREG NE36 is developing the 19-story tower, at 3635 Northeast First Avenue. The building will include 195 rental apartments, 61,500 square feet of retail and restaurant space on the first and second levels, four floors of enclosed parking, and an amenities and pool deck.
“District 36’s ideal location will serve to unite two of Miami’s most dynamic neighborhoods,” architect Jonathan Cardello, senior principal of ADD Inc. now with Stantec, said in a statement.
The lobby’s interiors will feature cream and black stones, art installations behind a reception desk, metal chains and custom rugs, according to a press release.
District 36 is expected to begin construction this month and is slated for completion in October 2016. — Katherine Kallergis
