ONE Sotheby’s International Realty — a brokerage that has so far focused on residential sales — has brought on a 10-year veteran of commercial brokerage Cushman & Wakefield to grow its niche commercial practices.
Former CushWake Senior Director of Operations Anna Rossie-Alvarez told The Real Deal that she saw a huge opportunity to grow ONE Sotheby’s commercial division.
The firm’s residential sales are the perfect segue into commercial sales, Rossie-Alvarez told TRD, as their clientele has no shortage of business owners, entrepreneurs and investors looking for commercial properties.
As commercial director, Rossie-Alvarez will work to retain that business within ONE Sotheby’s. That means making sure the firm’s current commercial agents have everything they need to work deals, as well as recruiting new agents to keep up with rising demand.
“It’s really an organic growth,” she said. “There’s been a huge demand from our clients.”
