Billionaire John Malone, chairman of Liberty Media, paid a record-breaking $38 million price for a Jupiter Island home with over 500 feet of frontage on both the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean.

Brokerage firm Englel & Völkers Jupiter handled the privately marketed sale and announced that the sale price was a new record high for a home on Jupiter Island and in Jupiter.

The contemporary main house rests on a natural elevation of 40 feet, the highest point in Jupiter Island, with 506 feet of frontage along the ocean and 513 feet along the Intracoastal. The glass-encased living room is built on a turntable and rotates 360 degrees at the touch of a button.

The property includes a guest house, a putting green, a par-three golf hole, a private boat dock and a 3,144-square-foot beach house, according to a press release.

Engel & Völkers said the previous owner was the late Horst Brandstätter, who was the sole owner of Germany’s largest toy manufacturer, Geobra Brandstätter.
