Splish, splash: Shore Club’s pool deck before and after

The Shore Club has released original photos and renderings of the historic Miami Beach hotel’s pool deck to The Real Deal.

HFZ Capital, which is redeveloping the property into a 75-condo and 100-room hotel, brought on Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld along with landscape architect Enzo Enea for the renovations.

In May, developers went before the Miami Beach Historic Preservation Board for demolition approval of the Cromwell Hotel, a structure that will be part of an eventual super luxury condo-hotel complex. The board denied the near total demolition but did allow HFZ to pursue plans including those that would eliminate of all balconies except those facing the ocean, as well as modifications to the design of the pool area and parking spaces.

The property at 1901 Collins Avenue was built between 1938, 1955 and 2001. HFZ will go before the board again on July 14. — Katherine Kallergis
