A newly constructed home on a Boca Raton golf course was just sold for $5.4 million.

The home is styled as a Palm Beach-inspired residence with open floor plans, bright colors and chunks of outdoor space split between a “summer room” and second-floor sun deck.

It measures 7,739 square feet and has five bedrooms, seven bathrooms and one half-bath. The home overlooks a medium-sized pond on the western edge of the Royal Palm Yacht & Country Club’s golf course.

Construction work began in September of last year. The sellers, Palm Beach residents Licinio and Doris Cruz, hired local homebuilding firm J.P. DiMisa to design and construct the residence at 1301 Thatch Palm Drive.

The home’s listing shows it is almost finished, but the homebuilder has not yet filed a notice of completion with the city of Boca Raton.

Licinio Cruz paid $950,000 for the 0.28 property, which then held an older home, in 2005. He later included his wife Doris as an owner. Roughly two weeks before this most recent sale, the Cruz’s paid $1.275 million for another home in the country club at 2220 East Silver Palm Road.

The new owners of the home at 1301 Thatch Palm Drive are Thomas and Elizabeth Macey. The couple had entered into a contract to buy the home in May.
