French brokerage enters Miami with merger

A French real estate firm has announced its entrance to the Miami market through its merger with local brokerage MC² Realty.

The merger was initiated by Viaprestige, a brokerage that primarily deals with wealthy French-speaking clients around the globe.

Viaprestige, which has offices in Morocco and the West Indies, had an exclusive relationship with MC² for the past four years because of the local firm’s reputation for handling French and Spanish clients.

Now, the two firms have decided to formalize their partnership, said MC² co-founder William Harbour.

The newly formed company will be called Viaprestige Real Estate Miami, headed by Harbour and MC²’s other co-founder Marie-Charlotte Piro, according to a release.

MC² got its start in 2009 when Harbour and Piro partnered to found their own firm. Back then, the majority of their business was made up of foreclosures and short-sales.

The firm found its niche dealing with French and Spanish clientele, partly thanks to Piro, who founded the Federation of French Realtors in Miami in 2013.

MC² will keep its offices at 5701 Biscayne Boulevard Suite CS-1 after the merger. — Sean Stewart-Muniz
