  • In a Tuesday vote, the distinctive mural-bedecked Biscayne Boulevard tower, which has served as Bacardi’s headquarters since 1963, won unanimous approval from the city preservation board to be named a historic building. The landmark designation means the tower, square annex and plaza will be protected from future development. Bacardi plans to move its headquarters to Coral Gables and will leave the complex by the end of the year, but has not publicized plans for its future.

    Corcoran to market Landmark: The Corcoran Group has been named the exclusive sales and marketing
    agent for the Landmark in Palm Beach Gardens. The building is nearly 70
    percent sold, according to a press release, with move-ins slated to
    begin this summer. The developer previously handled the building’s
    sales and marketing. The two- and three-bedroom units range in price
    from $299,000 to more than $1 million. Amenities include valet parking,
