SDS’ Downtown Brooklyn condo project is getting taller
Permits show 88 Schermerhorn Street could rise 27 stories
Second Development Services’ Downtown Brooklyn condo project appears to be getting taller. A new permit application has the building at 27 stories, up from the originally planned 20.
The application for 88 Schermerhorn Street calls for 23 units. The property is currently home to an historic walk-up building, but demolition permits were filed in November.
SDS purchased the project site for $11 million in the Fall of 2014, setting a price-per-buildable-square-foot record in the neighborhood, according to Curbed.
Think Architecture and Design is the architect of record.
In October, SDS filed plans for a 106-unit building at 285 Schermerhorn Street. [Curbed] — Tess Hofmann
