A new development set to replace the LaGree Baptist Church in West Harlem could exceed 100,000 square feet after the site’s new owner bought additional air rights.

Haim Nortman paid the Fata Organization $10.2 million for 27,500 square feet in development rights belonging to a nearby lot at 350-360 West 125th Street.

The developer had bought the former church at 362 West 125th Street for $28.5 million in August.

The church, built in 1891, comes with 75,099 square feet of buildable residential space, and the new air rights purchase brings the total square footage Nortman can build to 102,599.

Nortman also owns the Harlem buildings 220 West 149th Street and 2546 Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard. [CO] — Konrad Putzier
