Fyre Fest organizer’s swinging bachelor penthouse hits the market for $7.5M

From LLNYC: The Meatpacking penthouse where Fyre Fest organizer Billy McFarland was living until recently has just hit the market asking $7.5 million, the Wall Street Journal reports. So far, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid have not been recruited to help sell it.

Fyre Fest was the two-week music festival in the Bahamas that made headlines earlier this year when concert goers arrived to find the site had no running water, adequate food or even musical acts. McFarland was arrested in this very apartment in June under fraud charges related to Fyre Fest, and is currently out on bail and seeking a plea deal.

Due to the debts accrued by Fyre Fest, McFarland was reportedly too broke to afford a defense attorney. The listing broker, Christopher Riccio of Leslie J. Garfield, declined to comment to the Journal about why he is leaving the penthouse, which was last listed for $25,000-a-month.

Located at 345 West 14th Street, the penthouse unit is over 2,016 square feet and has three bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms and a very swanky terrace. City records show its owner is developer Christopher Prokop of DDG Partners, who bought it for $6.24 million in 2013 under the 345 Carne LLC.
