The Southampton Hospital Association has tapped Rafael Viñoly Architects and HKS Architects to design the new Stony Brook Southampton Hospital, Newsday reported. The hospital is moving from its existing location on Meeting House Lane to Stony Brook University’s Southampton campus as part of a $305 million relocation and redesign. The hospital chose the two firms because they “are keenly adept at solving cultural, technological and environmental concerns, as well as those of function, with unique and unprecedented solutions and inspired designs,” Southampton Hospital Association chairman Ken Wright said.
